I would wait a while before purchasing a new model to give them time to sort out any issues  that are found initially.

The new model still requires the purchase of upgrade keys to enable DMR, NXDN & PROVOICE too.

I have not played with a whistler yet so cant comment on them.

Have a look on youtube there are many videos showing both makes in operation and even side by side comparisons for some.

Oh wow

That scanner looks a beast what are your thoughts on it I think I should wait until it's released and then buy it it sounds and looks pretty awesome so does it just work like a normal scanner because it's goes on about software defined radio or something so I'm not quite sure if it's different just trying to digest all the information so much to digest thanks for your help though mate I appreciate it as always cheers Tim

This is a cost on top of the purchase price of the scanner.

Where as Whistler comes with all inclusive.

New one due out soon. Any ideas on what it will be or how soon it's due is it worth the wait. Also with the 436 wat do u mean about paying for upgrades??? 3.

Works very well when you get your head around the programming.

They do have a new one due out very shortly too.

Just wanting a Handheld. What is currently the best handheld on the market. I want digital. I have heard whistler tx1 is great. Do uniden have any great new units.
