The new emergency services communication network is already in the
planning stages, it has been mentioned here previously.
Ambos and Fire will be on the network which is all digital-based, but word
is they will not be encrypted. There really is no need for them to be.
There's actually no need for Police to be encrypted either, but that's a
whole other argument.
