Could be off Mt Alford, that's where Methven come from. Not sure if it's still functional. Aside.. there is a lot of channel interference on the Chch channels and Nth Cant. I heard parts and it was where choppers are working, maybe Aussie skip ??Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Unsure where its located but 75.9500 is one of the frequency's in the LYTTELTON Votegroup. It is linked to the CENTRAL CANT votegroup as well as the other South Canty channels.

I am also picking up Ashburton Fire (although very scratchy) from Halswell on 75.950 handheld. Is 75.950 off Mt Pierce?

Thanks Mike, I find a big gap in low VHF from about the Rakaia where for me I loose Marleys until around Ealing when I start hearing Timaru. I’m heading south again Friday so will see what I find.
Cheers

Hi Glenn,
I have no idea where this would be transmitted from, which makes even
less sense, considering that Ashburton Fire has always been VHF low.
VHF low has always been used because of the terrain issues on the
Canterbury Plains.
I suspect that the person that entered that particular frequency,
doesn't come from the area.
In the same vein, I am not getting any turn-outs for Ashburton on any
frequency I scan.
Cheers,
Mike T.
