This is actually one of the frequencies for the Area 1 channel in the Auckland area.

It is patched to the Waikato Rural channel.

Have you tried the either of the other 2 frequencies for Area 1?

Subject: [TheList] 75.3500 Mhz reception issues

I've posted this before, but am keen to tackle it once and for all.

I can get Waikato Rural here in central Auckland, but only from a very fidgety wire cable aerial when placed on certain angles around my bedroom..... not ideal. And, only on a handheld scanner, not on my BCT15X.

Nowhere else, even outside on the balcony seems to receive it at all, neither does the outdoor shared TV aerial for the apartments.

I'd like to have it so its set up and always on rather than posing like a christmas tree each evening to try and get a signal, only to lose it as soon as I let go of the cable (that's one other thing, is my body "giving it what it needs" so to speak in order to receive the signal?).

Would something like this help?

Any sort of external roof antenna is out of the question, and my apartment faces north, so think that may be a factor also?

Please get in touch oh wise ones!

Dan
