Mostly UHF although I think there are some sites using E band. If you hunt
around 450 - 480 MHz on your scanner you'll find channels which are
constantly transmitting (and some firing off intermittently) packets of
data. These are generally sh*t pumping stations, water monitoring and so on.
The Yagi in the photo you linked to is for D-band (450 MHz).
