Life Flight are using a temporary helicopter while ZK - HLF is been either repaired or serviced.  This temporary helicopter doesn't have a digital radio hence voice traffic on the analogue channels.

Air 1 Palmerston North & Air 1 Nelson which visit regularly have been fitted with digital radios to allow contact with Wellington Hospital directly on the new system.

It is a P25 system on the Police network covering greater Wellington & Wairarapa.
