[TheList] Internet linked PRS in CHCH?

In my opinion, I don't think that PRS was ever meant to be used for anything other than local comms, sure you could put a repeater on that system, but there was a limit to the distance you could link 2 repeaters together.
To be honest, there is and always has been a thing against PRS (aka UHF CB) users, from the amateur fraternity, just like it was when the 26MHz band became 27MHz as well, there was a concerted effort by NZART to stop this happening.
11m has a good number of people on it at any given time, which is more than can be said for repeaters that we as NZART members will have to pay for when Kordia transfers them fees on to NZART.

I started off as a CB'er and it didn't have half the BS that Ham radio does, with the same means to an end.
What is wrong with this picture?
