use the MPT1327 trunking system (Teamtalk Fleetlink). Unfortunately this
system is not supported by the 996T so you won't be able to follow the
traffic automatically.   Im not sure how much trunking activity there is
down your way, but you may be able to follow the traffic to some degree by
programming all the Fleetlink repeater outputs  for a site in your area and
scanning continuously. (If you find a channel is continuous data it is a
control channel - don't  include that channel in your scan list). When
traffic is light you should be able to pick out the conversations of
interest.

Hi All

I want to listen to security guards in Dunedin . I am told they on around
412 to 418 and they on a trunked system . How do u make a trunked channel
and what stuff do u need to know . its something I wanna get into but I have
NO idea as to wat to do . I have a uniden 996T digitial scanner.
