[TheList] Listening to other stuff.

Hi all....

Thanks to Mike and Andy,

I guess the trunking side of the new police system will be of interest to
those that enjoy the technical side of our
hobby... I look forward to seeing how Auckland's new system rolls out and
links together over time.

I was lucky enough to be part of the crew at Meremere drag strip today..

I didn't monitor myself (confirmed frequency) being on a head set, but I now
know they use Ch 16 for pit work and Channel 11 for starter and staging...
Motorola units which could be PRS frequencies but a good listen for anyone
close.

Emergency staff also listen in while on site too...Something new learnt
today..

I work beside the "Go Girls" indoors and they use a number of channels for
their work...

Now I can see how actors get so pampered... its tedious work I am sure
trying to one scene 10 times but they
do get looked after when not on set...

Shane.
