I have a request too

I know you can buy a booster for a car radio to get more signal and to improve jap import radios but is there one for a house radio, our van radios pick up all and sundry stations but the stereo in the house gets two and thats it??or is it an earthing problem and could I hook up the roof top scanner aerial to the stereo??
