Apologies, I changed subject slightly, and I wasn't very clear other than in my head lol... Trbos will run on the 1327 networks... Not on the new tier3 system. On 1327, the DM4000s would go a little deaf on extenders but would work fine on standard repeaters . From what I was told, the issue was that the 4000 would see the standard control channel info, but disregard it because the radio knew that it was sitting on an extender (IE the extender was sending out CC info of the master) Motorola tried fixing it via the team in the Philippines but they disbanded them not long after releasing a fix, because we're the only country still using a 1327 based system.

For the DM3000 and 4000s on tier3. A lot of the technical staff left, also Motorola and Tait do GPS differently so I guess the problem was around that somewhere.

They lost the dealership because they weren't buying enough equipment I think (to stay a dealer, you have to meet targets) also other dealers were getting a little testy because Vital were trying to sell equipment directly to dealers customers, or customers would go directly to them for equipment, ie we had one buying cheap t2040s from vital and getting a local autosparky (or themselves) who don't know the difference between a CB and a uhf aerial, then get a dealer in to fix the absolute shambles, or when the customer moaned, Vital would get a dealer in to fix ... Which would eventually lead to basically a whole new install being done. I hated fixing someone elses shitty install. Vital probably should have stayed an airtime provider to keep everyone happy.
Sent from a mobile device. The tone is slightly different I have found. See what you reckon
with the sites in your area, to me ActionNet seems to be "faster".

I personally know of a bunch of trbo radios that have run on
Fleetlink for a number of years, is this a new rule?

How did they lose their dealer status...
My understanding is they're basically the same system, so I'd be
surprised if they sound different. I know they aren't
interchangeable (Ie you can't interfleet between Fleetlink and
ActionNet.

I believe one is a proper MPT1327 system, the other is a slightly
modified version of the protocol that was ex Post Office before
being acquired by TeamTalk. Could be wrong, but I seem to recall
that was the answer when I asked.

For peoples interest, it appears there was some issues with
MotoTRBOs being on the network (TT now Vital went with Tait) and
some features won't work... Last I heard is they'd flat out said
no trbo being on the network, but given they've directly sold 4000
series radios to some of their customers before they lost their
dealer status, they're probably going to have to relax on that
rule.
