The uniden scanner, once programmed with the talkgroup and your local control channel, will track the channels itself (only enter the control channel frequency) I'd assume the Whistler is the same but I'm no help there. They won't track DMR trunking (ie, if you were following a user on the Vital tier3 network [the successor to Fleetlink/Actionnet] , you need to know the control channel AND the voice channels) <hr>Sent from a mobile device.
