Not according to the owners manual - same problem - no coverage for the <br>
low band VHF Fire and Police although no radio will get police in Akl, <br>
Wlg or Chc as they are all encrypted. Same big gap between 54 and <br>
108MHz. Try browsing the Uniden NZ or Aus sites, just make sure they <br>
have the "U" in front.<br>

I'm considering picking up another scanner - my UBC245XLT seems to have RFI<br>
problems on precisely the frequencies i'm most interested in - but as it<br>
lives in my vehicle, something with the ability to take external power is<br>
critical. Looks like the EZI30 is strictly battery only, which is a shame,<br>
as it looks like I have to spend nearly $200 more for a better-featured<br>
model (and this is not in my budget presently!)<br>
