<div>Another thing I'd suggest, for those considering, is get the addons BEFORE it gets shipped over. People like ScannerMaster should be able to help of course, but I doubt you'll get any help from Uniden NZ with this model, it's an American model. Same
could be said for the SDS100 model - we may never see it here officially. <br>

Another thing is I don't know how many people use NXDN, we certainly don't have any customers using it. DMR would definitely be a worthy upgrade. Out of the box P25 1 and 2 is nice depending how much is in the clear, the rest is so-so. Corrections for example
use Motorola LTR, however all prisons are slowly going to be migrating to Digital over the next 5 or 10 years. Tongariro, one or two Auckland ones, CHCH Womans have already cutover, CHCH Mens is slated for June go-live (the systems in but there are some issues
they're working through with the indoor location beacons) <br>

Shane - 75.55 is Waikato North, Radiowiki should be fairly up to date, but it's been awhile since I've been up coromandel to check - it's listed as Waihi and Tokatea/Coromandel. What scanner is that? Can you program in timeslots? I've never programmed a
digital capable scanner - I carry my Icom R5 but I use proper RTs at work anyway so the R5 only gets used for CSQ receiving - listening for local interference in vehicles (Harvesters) and buildings (Fonterra and all of the VSDs they have are causing issues
on digital channels if the RT is set to Channel Free admit criteria) <br>

Yes the TX1/TX2 will cover the 75MHz range if the radio is set to the Austrlian or UK bandplan, but the performance on that band is very poor as I have a TRX2. I think that they changed the firmware so it will cover the 75MHz range but the hardware is not designed
for the band so you get alot the FM broascast interferance and the sensetivity is very poor.</div>

The Uniden 436 is the way to go (use to have one also until last week) and still have the base version 536. This 436 radio has alot more functions than the TRX1 and works very well on 75MHz. The early 436's has a problem with noise generated from the battery
compartment that effected the UHF band performance but Uniden have fixed this in the radios manufactured after about the middle of last year. You do need to have to pay extra for the DMR & NXDN option keys for the 436 where they come included with the TRX1.</div>

severe interference so it�s looking like a really good scanner I just can�t make my mind up. Do I get to uni then 486HP or do I get the TRX one does anybody in this group I�m both these units or either either that could give us a rundown on differences I
just don�t want to waste a lot of money on something only to find the other one is better further down the track.</div>
