software that came with the unit and know that the USB stick works

<DIV dir=ltr>You need to download some software called "Zadig". Plug the
dongle into a new USB port (as the current one with that dongle will link to
the drivers you've installed to get it to work as a TV/FM device), run Zadig,
and it should become usable.

<DIV>The big thing you need to do is NOT install the software that comes with
the device. Zadig puts the right driver in the right place for it to work as
an SDR</DIV>

<DIV>Google around, further instructions are out there. Not all USB Tv dongles
