I have been using that site over the last few weeks –
initially for the Tas./Vic. Bush fires, and yesterday for the Qld./NSW floods.
It appears that only large City areas Syd./Melb./Bris. Use APCO P25 (Govt.
Radio Network). The outer and semi rural areas still seem to be using ‘analog’
open channel comms. on the 467 – 469mHz band, which they been using for
many years.

Unrelated Topic: Does anyone know the mod./trick that
allows the Uniden BC-72/92XLT scanner to be used as a ‘frequency counter’
probably part of the “Close Call” feature.

Cheers,
