Hi Chris,
Australia & New Zealand share a standard for PRS (UHF CB over there).
Australia was going to adopt 80 channels with 12.5 kHz steps,
subsequently we will likely follow suit, I'm not aware of it happening
yet though. The advantage is double the channels in the same amount of
spectrum, this is happening world wide, abolishing the old 25 kHz spaced
channels.
The standard is AS/NZS 4365 and I see there is a 2011 amendment. Not
sure if the link below will work, but it might...

Obviously that document is incomplete, but it makes it clear that the
Australian change is being adopted here as I expected.
"This edition incorporates revisions providing test methods and
performance limits to facilitate 12.5 kHz channel operation in alignment
with the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) 400 MHz
band restructure and associated changes being made by the Ministry of
Economic Development (MED) in New Zealand."
Contact RSM on 0508 RSM INFO (0508 776463) to find out the actual situation.
Regards,
Neill.
