[TheList] Police callsign

Hi all
Just a quick question I'm listening to the Dunedin police channel and there
seems to be a unit with the callsign stg1 to me STG is special tactics
group however I thought they were based in the North Island and only put to
use for major events have things changed recently or does anyone know what
STG unit stands for and I'm also hearing cru which might be critical
response unit or crisis response unit any ideas
