Hi Dan,

Fire do not have a UHF network in Wellington.

The 75 MHz channels are used by fire trucks for wide area communications.

They do use UHF simplex frequencies between crew members, at a Fire Ground.

In the case of very large fires, like a factory or scrub fire, they can
deploy a stand alone UHF repeater,

to get wide area coverage, but it is not normally connected to the 75
MHz fire truck network.

Cheers

Paul
