One of the cool things about scanning is making your own 
antennas/filters and not having to worry so much about matching for 
perfect SWR. CSGnetwork is a good starting place for calculators of 
basic Ground Plane and Dipole Antennas or if you are more adventurous 
and want to build a Yagi, this is the place to go:
