Please where is 421.3125 transmit location, Wiki states Ashburton- loud and clear on handheld in Halswell?

If you get the right one, you're in :)

The UHF link channel in chc, gets verbals south island length. But depending on links open/traffic amount or dispatch breaks nelson/marl and otago may be dropped to a 1-way comms out only. (They seem to have their own group that pol can share)

It appears the same with selcall. Hear the tones, you know to put an ear out. And not always chc (some times other regions tones noisy over verbal dispatch). Been a few arrivals over air recently - chc calling in 77s without the box
