I don't think there's been any particular need for a specific declaration
for some time.

Section 78AA of the Crimes Act 1961 makes it an offense to disclose
classified information.

Section 74 of the Crimes Act defines the punishment for Treason.

Life Imprisonment for doing it, or up to 14 years in prison for conspiracy,
or up to 14 years for attempted treason (if you are a subject of the
Commonwealth).

There's a whole other set of coverage if you happen to be employed in the
