Not according to the owners manual - same problem - no coverage for the 
low band VHF Fire and Police although no radio will get police in Akl, 
Wlg or Chc as they are all encrypted. Same big gap between 54 and 
108MHz. Try browsing the Uniden NZ or Aus sites, just make sure they 
have the "U" in front.

I'm considering picking up another scanner - my UBC245XLT seems to have RFI
problems on precisely the frequencies i'm most interested in - but as it
lives in my vehicle, something with the ability to take external power is
critical. Looks like the EZI30 is strictly battery only, which is a shame,
as it looks like I have to spend nearly $200 more for a better-featured
model (and this is not in my budget presently!)
