On Thursday when I wrote the first post, there was no activity on the 
75MHz frequencies while the UHF frequencies were very active with the 
usual chatter. On Friday the PM1 frequency was back in use and had far 
better signal strength than previously.  You cannot deny what I heard or 
didn't hear.
