Just been on holiday to Nelson and back via the reopened SH1.

I live in Timaru and run a variety of scanners, 2 Uniden UBCD396XT and two
Yupiteru scanners.

Received police reception at the north lip of the Hundalees to
Blenhiem, from West coast, Nelson, Blenhiem on the Timaru 75.450 FM channel

On the way back the Unidens received Otago rural 75.225 from the Hundalees
south(did not expect that)

Calls from west coast police travelling to CHCH with prisoners, i also hear
Oamaru police near Waimate at regular intervals.

So do not delete any common analogue data as yet when Analogue cars come to
CHCH they still only have analogue gear fitted.

You may hear the odd call, i recognised the dispatchers voices in Nelson
from my Timaru analogue days, they must be still employed and on that days
shift.

I heard Wellington Fire and Ambo calls around Ward and Seddon areas as well.

Close call gave me frequencies of he smallish cruise ship anchored in
Kaikoura's south bay.

I watched Planes flying high over Richmond and using App Flightradar24 was
able to show family the full flight data in real time.

Listened to heaps of marine calls about Motueka and Kaiteriteri as they
were in full Xmas mode.

PS all traffic cars up north SI were either Red or Orange colour, not one
white one at all. saw two red and one orange outside the
Blenhiem station on Tuesday 2nd.

Cheers RAYC
