Hi Shane, Richard and Chris,

Shane

I think the DMR channel on Skytown is only an Auckland thing for Trans
Dev commuter rail service. Remember that Kiwi Rail provides the
signalling and communications for all users of their tracks.

Trans Dev in Auckland may have arranged with Kiwi rail to have GPS on
DMR for their network management.

Trans Metro in Wellington don't appear to have a DMR channel, but are
regularly heard on Kiwi Rail channels.

Richard

I checked SMART and the EN119 on Skytower and it is licensed for both
Narrow FM (10K0F3EJN) and DMR (7K60FXWDT).

Chris.

This site will give you a list of all the VHF Kiwi Rail channels.
