Yes I had issues with the addons on the 536 I had put the address of my 
hotel and use my AMEX it would not accept my VISA as
being local?  Tax bracket changes too depending on your location each 
state passes its own amount of tax.

The Whistler product works straight out the box Uniden is a little 
quirky with its upgrades..  Be nice if Radio Reference was
current with our changes for both models but I guess enough of us need 
to get on board to make that happen...

Believe it or not it was cheaper to buy on line from Walmart then Ham 
Radio Outlet in Anaheim because of the taxes...

And of course you can't claim the tax back in the good ol USA at the 
airport like you can Aussie...

Real learning curve this one...

I do occasional listen the North and South of Auckland outskirts 
repeaters on 75-76 MHz need outdoor antenna for that of course..
Just been awhile..

Looking at Kordia's Tetra 18K channels working around me at the 
moment....
