[TheList] Tait TM8200 remote head volume issue

Has anyone who works with Tait gear noticed that when these radios are run
in remote head config, the volume doesn't ramp up smoothly?
It goes from no audio with the knob at 7 o'clock to very low audio around 8
o'clock then stays at that level until it jumps up much higher around 10
o'clock. From there on it ramps normally as you would expect from a volume
control.
I've had three different radios recently that all seem to do it.
If I connect the head straight to the radio body the volume ramps normally.
