[TheList] 'Old Telephones'

Can anyone advise how to connect 2 old 'BPO' Black Bakelite Telephones up.
They don't appear to have a model no. The 'generator crank handle' is
positioned in the center of the phone (where the rotorary dial is on later
models). Do you need batteries (2 x No.6 cells in series giving 3 volts) at
each end, or just one set?)

Want to use them over about a 200mtr.  distance.
