[TheList] Freeview

HI all,

Well, IF the receiver is an ‘approved’ unit, it WILL use a 10750lnb as they ARE programmed to check for them after they have scanned 11300.

Any other receiver, well it will be able to use ANY LNB unless it is a complete POS.

There is SOOOOO much mis information out there.

Oh, you don’t really want standard MPEG2 units now. You should be looking at MPEG4 units now so items like the CH9 Oz feed can be received.

Oliver

HE HE boys

The $ 20.00 is with a new LNB so the system know that LNB setting , if you replace the old SKY LNB for the new one your sat box will recieve D1 channels

I have programed the Strong channels with my set up and the new LNB so seting up is no problem than

BUT if you have never done this before SUCCES

Shop is closed

Really, only twenty dollars?

Steady on man; don't want to give away too much information. . . for nothing!

Bob, honestly sit down you won't believe this: I can offer valuable information to you concerning how to plug the unit into the mains, and what direction to turn the power switch on - for only $40.00 [ excl GST ]

=)))

The Sky dish will work with any receiver, it's just a case of setting the correct lnb lo frequency. Sky dishes with the dual throat are 10.750 and the old single ones are 11.300.

Easy to change in less that a minute in the settings menu on all receivers.

Regards

Brendan

The Sky dish is fine for any model of receivers but the LNB unit on the front is sometimes not the right one for an open free view channels.

Sky have put a lot of LNB units up with two in one is not round but oval ,this was done that the old Sky satellite start dropping down in the sky and the and the second LNB was picking this up.

If your LNB is just round that will work with all free view boxes.

There is a frequently on each LNB that need to be set when you go into the search mode ,Blind search will find most of the LNB setting and will find the D1

But for 20 dollars I can set this up here an all you have to do fit the new LNB that is use to set your channels in the box connect the cable that will work /

But As you are part of this forum you must have some tech in your fingers to do that .

Happy fro you to come around and show you how is done ,we are at 79 Highbrook way in whatawhata just on the road to Raglan

cheers Rolf

Thanks Rolf but I did a google search and it did show some models that worked off a sky dish without any change?

I bow to your expertise and ask if there is any models available that do this?

I will be visiting Hamilton from 13 May as I have changed my book distribution areas so I could call in for a chat maybe?
