Anyone know if the US TV has a different format to here? brought a Kindle
Fire but cant get the thing to work thru a HDMI Micro to HDMI TV Input, as
its supposed to??

Yes America use NTSC  format for there TV system with a 60 Hz refresh rate
,NZ use Pal with 50 Hz refresh rate ,some TV can handle this some not .check
your TV info if can handle different picture formats Cheeers Rolf
