Best bet for hearing them on navigation training flights would be on RNZAF
HF SSB freqs working Airforce Auckland. They normally report "Ops Normal" at
30 minute intervals on one of the following freqs:

5687

8974

11235

13206

 

Callsigns are Rhino 01 etc for the NH40s also Mako 01 etc for the  A109s and
Seasprite 01 etc for the Navy Seasprites.

keeping them close to Ohakea during training.

 

hoped they would come south during long range navigation training.

 

mind you even the Iroquois do not come over Timaru any more.

 

what would i input into the scanner to hear them.
