Hi John

The circuit I have has a TDA1905 for the audio, I'd check the output on pin
1 before buying a replacement chip.

Just to eliminate the cap and audio socket.

Cheers

Mike

Wondering if any among the group has had anything to do with the Uniden
UBC780 xlt scanner. Have one in 'mint condition' apart from a fault of no
audio. Using the 'tape output' into a stand-alone audio amp - perfectly OK.
Suspect the Audio Amp IC (NEC 7808) has gone '10 zero' Any suggestions where
a replacement IC could be obtained, "Digi -Key Corp" show it as a 5.5Watt
audio amp chip, but not indicating any stock.

Thanks,

John B
