[TheList] Internet linked PRS in CHCH?

Indeed...

The original reason I put the scanner back in the car was to see what
was happening on the repeaters these days.

Mid nineties or there abouts when I last regularly carried a scanner
they was a lot more Ham activity on 2m and 432.

I've just passed the exam to try and rectify some of the dead air, but I
understand Ham numbers are about 1/2 what they were in 1990. From what
I've heard on the scanner CB and its replacement PRS has had a similar
decline.

I'm sure there are lots of different contributors to that, but as
someone who has just researched Ham and NZART branch clubs I'd have to
say some of the blame for the ham decline lies with the 'old guard'
attitudes that seem to exist in the hobby.

Cheers, Me.
