You need a uhf aerial (old sky aerial before satellite came aloung) Rotorua has just started transmitting terrestrial tv. Is this where you get tv 1 & 2 now? As somebody pointed out if you can get maori you might be in with a grin but a better indication is if you can get prime and from where as their transmit frequency is closer to terrestrial frequency. Hope this helps. Freeview have a coverage map as an indication but there are always exceptions.
