Denis who???

Try this, http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~philclarke/Handout2003.pdf

Page 7 gives the HF freqs in use, I don't anything know about those
frequencies you have listed, I suspect it may be old or faulty info.

The MOC at Avalon controls the VHF and HF networks and the Taupo Maritime
station is ZLM

There is an interesting Ham radio application called APRS using packet radio
and GPS to report station locations, the web server at http://aprs.fi
<http://aprs.fi/>

I have not put a value Ham id in there so it will default to Helsinki. If
you type in a ships name ie Arahura in the Track callsign search slot, it
will show you where the ship is. The ships have to be in range of a shore
VHF site though.

Subject: [TheList] ZLW lives?

Hi all,

According to the MED database, Kordia have a pubic coast station licence for
SSB marine channel nos 408,601,807,1209,1606 and 2213,with the callsign ZLW
and transmitting from the Matea site of ZLM/Taupo Maritime radio which the
operate on behalf of Maritime NZ.

Does anyone have any info on what these channels are used for and who in NZ
(if anyone) currently uses them? They are frequency pairs that in the old
pre-INMARSAT days were used for radphone traffic via the defunct Wellington
radio (ZLW).

You out there Dennis?

Cheers

Andy,
