Timaru 2 is just the offical name of that channel as programmed into the Fire and Police radios. Timaru 1 was the old Police channel linked with Twizel, Waimate & Temuka channels to form the South Canterbury channel (Before they went digital)

I presume they have have had some turnouts recently that have not shown up on your seldec?

I am no help being down in the deep south, but I was just informing you that the channel was live last Tuesday.

Brendan,
You call this frequency Timaru 2, that more or less assumes that there is a Timaru 1 frequency that has more priority than a Fire Exclusive frequency, as far as dispatch and status comms goes?
If so, what is this frequency?
Reason I say this, is because the 75.600MHz frequency is now dead, no tones, no turn-outs, no routines, nothing.

Timaru 2 (75.6000) was still booming in on Tuesday while on my way up and down the island. What gives you the impression it's not now?
