Seems to be quite a lot 'district linking' going on with both Fire and
Police. During the recent floods etc. the Marlborough/West Coast seemed to
be linked with Southland? (Balclutha etc.) In Wgton. several Fire trucks
have both the 'old' 75mHz analog and the 'new' ESB digital radios, with the
Tait 'button box' MSU being common to both radios. Whether it is just
coincidental or not, since this new trialling has been going on there seems
to be far more interference on the Fire ESA band, with the 'trucks/mobile'
complaining to Fire-Comms on a regular basis,but it seems to be only 'one
sided'as if FireComms are not hearing it, only the mobiles.
As they say 'watch this space' all will be revealed eventually.
