Interesting comment today on fire channel in South Canterbury

Can you pass a messages to police comms please fire-com operator, heard on
the local fire channel which is analogue.

My bloody digital portable just keeps having to be reset at this location and i cannot
get a message out. Using analogue to you.

Must be a great system they now have.
