[TheList] Looking for a hard-to-find 3.5mm audio adapter

Might be easiest to cut the mono plug off of the microphone cord and fit a
stereo one with the left and right channels joined. This should still work
in a mono setup too.

Mark.

Subject: [TheList] Looking for a hard-to-find 3.5mm audio adapter

I'm looking for a 3.5mm mono socket to 3.5mm stereo plug adapter, so
that I can use a mono microphone on a stereo video camera. I know it's
not proper stereo sound but at least it will give me sound in both
channels instead of nothing on the right channel, and it'll be a jolly
sight cheaper than a $250 stereo microphone :)

Dick Smith list them but don't stock them

Jaycar don't even have them listed.

Pudney make one (A1079, metal adapter "3.5mm Mono Socket to 3.5mm Stereo
Plug") but I can't find anywhere that stocks that particular item and
Pudney don't sell direct. http://www.pudney.co.nz/con-35mmcon.html

Anyone know where I can lay hands on one or two of these things ?

Thanks
Gary
