You mean can I hear the planes and the ground when I'm listening to air 
channels ?

Very much depends on where I am and which part of the system I'm trying 
to listen to. Does fine for knowing what's coming when I'm taking photos 
at Puhinui Rd, but does have problems with the stuff a bit further out. 
That's probably because I'm using a 2" stubby antenna pinched from an 
old uhf handheld ...
