If you seem to be hearing more than one conversation at once on this
frequency then you are most likely to be experiencing intermodulation of 2
or more channels  either locally for you or at a repeater site near you.

transmissions are on vhf freq 173.875.

seem to be police, firecom (whakatane), robotic speech message readout.
