Just a normal scanner with antenna works fine.

Channels and Banks are scanner equipment terms.

Frequencies are the frequencies you enter into your scanner on channels.
When you browse the radiowiki you are reading through frequencies. i.e. 120.000

Banks are groups of channels on your scanner.
