True, but it still raises my point about rural (isolated areas)
signal coverage for plod's new system. If they're going to rely
on this - 500meg?? system, well it just won't be there.

Ok based on my own recent experience travelling in all sorts
of areas in Canterbury using Fleet Link which is on 400megs
having both vehicle mounted and handheld trunking radios in
the towie vehicle that I was using and also having a scanner
and later a programmed 75meg radio (on receive only of course)
then the UHF coverage just went to s**t in a big way.

We don't know what they're proposing for the rural areas - whatever
it is for their own sakes, I just damn well hope that it works.
