I can echo the sentiment of the boys in blue doing a good job while
appearing to be having fun at the rally.
A Police vehicle travelled rather quickly through one of the Rally Wairarapa
stages I was radio point for and he appeared to be having a great time
sliding around in the gravel. I later found out a local farmer was not
happy about the road closure and threatened to park a tractor within the
stage.
Don't know if the farmer was serious but there was no problem and that stage
started just a few minutes late.
Much of the time we don't realy know the full story about police incidents
(even if we were listening) and with digital comms we are about to know even
less, but so will the bad guys/gals.
Rick.

they are there for a purpose , e.g. recently I was up at the rally of
whangarei and they have a policeman run thru the rally stages b4 the cars ,
and has to deal with members of the public etc and he spent the whole time
in his vest

we dont see a polie car from year to year round here but today the scanner
