Yes, a friend of mine who worked in the field for Siemens had a dual servlce phone. It used to really annoy the accountants, every time they phoned in from somewhere without cellphone cover the phone would automatically change to sat mode which is hideously expensive and the flrst they knew of it was when the bill arrived. 

It's amazing how many places there are on the fringes of Auckland with no cellphone  cover :-)

Isn't there a cellphone that also can be used as a satphone
full "dual service".... Anyone know anything about this?
