Hi,

I'm picking it will be some time due to the terrain and distances between towers etc.

Just a quick question, when Chch does eventually got digital, will South Canterbury go digital as well? because it is a separate channel from Christchurch, or will they do that at a different time then Christchurch?

Cheers

Hi All

Chch is alive an well with P25 there are a number of repeaters installed, they are mostly used by AOS at this stage.
The radios are available for general duties if they want to run a "secret event" mostly boy racer stuff.
Only central city coverage at this stage

But there is definitely action on the new ESC band.

As you say Auckland next then the main roll out in Chch

Cheers
Mike

I am pretty sure that nothing is happening in CHCH until later next year as they have only just rolled out Wellington/HuttValley/Kapiti and then I think they are going to start on Auckland next.
Very quiet here in Wellington unless you want to listen to Palm North/wanganui/HawkesBay.
Other than that fire and ambo are still going strong here.

Anyone know what systems they use in Britain as am heading over there on Tuesday for 2 months and plan to trip around in campervan.
Am flying via Dubai on emirates A380 should be very exciting.
